Voices
By Enchanta

Another tear rolled down her cheek,
Another one she flicked away,
Another hour saw her cold and bleak,
Yes, it was just another one of those days.

Nothingness overpowered her self,
The silent tunes died in a far away land,
She dwelled alone, bathing in glory,
Glory of solitude, cast by the devil's wand.

The sullen smile, the tainted look,
The veils were torn down by secrets untold,
The omnipresence of the spirits remained,
As she swept across the woods, loveless and cold.

The words of wisdom rang in her mind,
She straddled her way and lost her time,
Her purpose was defied, her will grew wild,
For sometimes it is the last chance accepted for life.

Hanging By Hope
By Ankush

Beautiful as I see,
The world at the edge of life,
I am full of ecstasy,
Now I want to just dive,

Hanging by hope,
I could not enjoy,
Time to leave the rope,
And find all the joys....

Soft
By Cynthia M

Time ebbs and flows
soft,relative
to perception, physics.

Disintegrating in proportion
to speed.
Linear, circular, biological
pliable, transient.

Impression of fading memory
once lived
Now lost in the mists of.....
everything, nothing.

The Kiss
By Stafford Ray

Softest brush,
barely felt.
warm, dry,
inviting.

Then again,
open, wet.
Hot, sweet,
a promise.

I've posted a rather dark poem this week. It is based on the first short story I ever wrote, and for those who might be interested, the link to the story is below the poem. It's a rather long short story (3000+ words), so if you're not into reading, you might want to pass it by.
Have a happy Labor Day and enjoy the Gooseberry Picnic!

Thanks so much for the kind birthday wishes! I have been under the radar for a while as I have just started a full time job. I haven't been writing at all, so I don't have any poetry to submit. :-(

I will be back soon, though!
Cheers to all
